Visit North of Tajikistan

Day 1: Dushanbe –Panjakent

Our guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Dushanbe. Transfer  to  Iskandarkul.  Iskandarkul  is   situated  in  Fan  Mountains . You  will  drive  to the  lake over the  Anzob Pass (3 372m) with  the  beautiful  landscape. After arrival to  the  lake we will have  short  hike. 20 minutes   walk  from   the   camp, up  a   small  hill to the  north  is   Snake  Lake and  we   will  hike  40 minutes to  a  gorgeous  waterfall    which  is   famous   as   Fan Niagara. After  you  will  came  back  to  camp and  have  lunch  there  walk around   the  lake use  a  bout to  go around  and   then  you   will  drive 4  km to  Five  springs.  Near   to  the  spring  there  is  cave  which  is   famous  as  the   cave  of  Macedonia .  Drive  to  Panjakent .   Panjakent  means  ‘’the city of Pancha ‘’ Panjakent  has  the  closest border  with  Uzbekistan  Samarqand . Museum of Rudaki – As Penjikent is a birthplace of Abu Abdallah Rudaki, considered by many to be the father of Persian Poetry. Ancient Penjikent - ruins of old Sogdian town founded in 5th century and abandoned in the 8th century by Arabs. Foundations of houses, a citadel with a couple of Zoroastrian fire temples and city bazaar are visible in the excavated ruins  after you visit

Sarazm  one of the ancient settlement in Central Asia  with 5500 years civilization. In 2010 the Sarazm was added to the list of the Human heritage by UNESCO. Haf Kul-seven lakes of different colors in mountains of Tajikistan

Day 3: Panjakent – Istaravshan - Khujand

We visit  historical  city Istaravshan.  Till  2000 it was  Uroteppa and  then  it   was   change again  to Istaravshan. Istaravshan is  situated in  north  part  of  Tajikistan  in  n the foothills of the Turkestan ridge, 48 km from  Khavast  station, 73 km from the regional center - the city of Khujand and 268 km from the city of Dushanbe.   Khazrati Shoh architectural complex- consists of Khazrati Shoh mausoleum-the grave of brother of Kusam ibn Abbas, Khudayar Valami mausoleum and mosque Namozgoh. There were city cemetery and Medresse too. All these buildings belong to 19th c. Bazaar- an oriental market where you can find everything and see  blacksmith  and Mugh tepa(Mugh Hill)  Mug Tepa-situeted in Ura-Tube is one of the ancient settlements in Tajikistan. It is said the city was found by Kir  in the north-east boundary of the empire. theand  then we   drive  to  Khujand .Overnight  in  Khujand .

Day 4 : Khujand

At 9:30 we  start  our  city tour  first   we go  to   “ Panjshanbe  Bazar’’  the bazar attracting people with various sounds and tastes. Shikh  Muslihiddin  mosque  and  mausoleum (XVII-XIX cc). City tour  - Monument to Lenin . Lunch  at local restaurant

Museum of archeology and fortification – in the middle of northern part of the city there is fortress of 7-8th c. The territory of the fortress-300x200m. The city was surrounded with wall. It was destroyed several times during different conquers and last reconstruction was in 18th c. The museum was found inside the fortress  and  Arbob palace named after S. Urunhodlaev (XX c)

Day 5: khujand –Jarteppa Bourder

Khujand –Jarteppa Border. Crossing the border.
